This tutorial is designed for newcomers or more experience professionals who would like a refresher on the fundamentals. This interactive tutorial will provide teachings and exercises on some of the most important aspects of earthing design:
- Fundamental concepts such as EPR, step/touch voltages, transfer and mesh voltages.
- The earthing design process and calculations for simple earthing systems.
- Introduction to safety criteria and the benefits of probabilistic risk analysis.
- Soil resistivity and its importance in voltage calculations and risk assessment.
- Undertaking a risk based earthing design using the ENA EG0 framework.
