With the introduction of the risk-based approach to earthing hazard assessments, the ‘Loaded’ touch voltage has not yet found its place in earthing testing or risk-based safety criteria. This presentation will compare how prospective and loaded touch voltages are measured in the field during current injection testing. It will also investigate possible modifications to the existing risk-based safety criteria calculations defined in ENA EG-0 and AS2067, to evaluate the risk of fibrillation for a loaded touch voltage measurement.
